The centrosymmetric and the noncentrosymmetric space groups

Space groups possessing a point of inversion are termed centrosymmetric, the others are termed noncentrosymmetric. The first ones are shown in the table in red.

In wien2k, the centrosymmetric structures have the input files: case.in0, case.in1, case.in2, case.inm .... and works with the programs: lapw0, lapw1, lapw2 .... ;

while the noncentrosymmetric structures have the input files: case.in0c, case.in1c, case.in2c, case.inmc .... and works with the programs: lapw0c, lapw1c, lapw2c, ...
