When the time-independent wave function of a multicomponent system is computed, it is necessaryto require that it be consistent with the Pauli exchange principle which states that, for systems involvingidentical elements, wave functions must beantisymmetricto pair exchange if twice the spinsfor each oneis an odd integer andsymmetricto pair exchange if the spin is an integer. For identical spin sets, each setcontaining spins, this can be expressed mathematically, for a single exchange, in theform
